Century Wellness Clinic makes sure our patients drink plenty of Alkaline Water daily

H2OOur patients and their families fill up their water jugs daily. We feel when an alkaline environment is maintained in the body, metabolic, enzymatic, immunologic, and repair mechanisms function at their best. The acid-forming metabolics of stress and inflammation and of high fat and high protein foods are adequately and effectively neutralized only when sufficient mineral-buffering reserves are present. Mineral-buffering reserves are the gift that alkaline-forming foods give to our body. A diet that is predominantly alkaline-forming is essential to the maintenance of sustained health.

A View Into Thermography

“Thermograms are non-invasive and do not involve compressing the breast. It is a useful form of risk assessment that helps you make valuable lifestyle changes in time to prevent breast cancer.” –James W. Forsythe, MD, HMD
Century Wellness Clinic now offers thermograms as a noninvasive method to screen for breast cancer.  Despite increased awareness levels of breast cancer and mammograms, breast cancer statistics continue to get worse. Today, nearly 1 in 7 women will get breast cancer in their lifetime. We know that prevention and early detection of breast cancer are key. But one technology you may not know much about is Thermography—and it's the best way to detect breast cancer the earliest.
World renowned oncologist and homeopathic physician, James W. Forsythe explains why thermograms are an effective preventative measure for breast cancer that is non-invasive and safe. “Thermograms have virtually no side effects. Thermograms, although they do not directly indicate breast masses, demonstrate abnormal changes in the body.”

Natural Ways to Fight Multiple Sclerosis

The diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS)  is challenging since there is no single blood test, or any other test that can be used to confirm MS. The process of MS diagnosis usually involves a doctor asking a patient about symptoms, doing a physical exam, and performing a few laboratory tests.

World renowned medical oncologist and homeopathic physician, James Forsythe says, “The pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis remains unknown. Although inflammation, demyelination and axonal injury are all involved, the primary pathogenic process is not clear.” On-the-job exposure to organic solvents may increase a person's risk of developing multiple sclerosis. Infection with a common bacteria known as C. pneumoniae may increase the risk of developing multiple sclerosis. Immunization with the synthetic hepatitis B vaccine may be associated with an increased risk of developing multiple sclerosis. Mercury toxicity from dental amalgams have been associated with MS and that after amalgam removal red and white cell levels tend to seek normal range with a corresponding increase in the body’s immune response. Those with multiple sclerosis should avoid excessive body heat elevation such as sauna, whirlpool, sun bathing or spending time outdoors in high heat.

Bluer than Blue

The holidays are supposed to be a joyful time of good cheer and optimistic hopes. Yet, it is not unusual for many of us to feel sad or lonely during the holiday period -- a condition that has come to be called holiday blues or holiday depression.

That's right. For many people, the holidays bring on feelings of sadness and anxiety that can be hard to shake.

Also, holiday depression may occur at any holiday or vacation time, but most commonly happens during the December holidays when, it may seem, just about everyone in the world is celebrating in some way. There are many causes for holiday blues, and the symptoms may mimic clinical depression.

Managing Your Cholesterol During the Holidays

Ho Ho Ho!  The Holidays are here which means, for most of us, stringing up multicolored lights, decorating the house, watching the snow fall, and sharing with family the indulgences of homemade warm cinnamon rolls, sweet tea breads, and pumpkin pies.  But many years of overindulging in too many calories, sugar, and fat can also mean putting on the pounds and for some who suffer from high cholesterol the extra pounds and rich high-fat foods puts them more at risk of heart attacks and strokes.  High cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) affects an estimated 26 percent of American adults, according to The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey III carried out from 1988-1991. It is also more common in those who are obese, a condition that has now reached epidemic proportions in the United States, affecting as much as half of the adult population.

The flu typically lasts one to two weeks. If left untreated, the flu can lead to life-threatening complications such as pneumonia, especially among the elderly, women who are pregnant, or people with chronic illnesses. Flu epidemics cause an average of 20,000 deaths each year in the United States.

Finding Hope

“I woke up and they told me I had an colostomy bag and they told me that I had cancer all in my stomach.”

Those were the haunting words Sheila West-Yorek heard from her doctors at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas in November, 2003. The cancer was a result of new tumors that had grown on her ovaries and metastasized to her stomach. The cruel irony of this is that her once healthy ovaries had received preventative radiation treatments during a bout with cervical cancer eleven years before, and now her worst fears were realized.

Alternative Therapies for Cancer under Attack

Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will come when medicine will organize into an undercover dictatorship... To restrict the art of healing to one class of men and deny equal privileges to others will constitute the Bastille of medical science. All such laws are un-American and despotic and have no place in a republic...The Constitution of this republic should make a special privilege for medical freedom..."
-Benjamin Rush, M.D.
Signer: The Declaration of Independence & Physician to George Washington
